OPENING AND INAUGURATION

PANEL DISCUSSION #1 - HIGH PERFORMANCE POLYMERS VS. COMPOSITES IN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

When it comes to 3D printing with polymers, two material groups that have been rising in popularity are undoubtedly high-performance polymers and composites. With both known for their strength to weight ratio and fantastic properties, the question remains, which should you use for which application and why? In this panel discussion, our expert speakers will delve into the benefits and limitations for both in additive manufacturing.

Moderator: Andrew Allshorn - AT 3D-SQUARED

Speakers: Dr. Rigoberto Advincula - ORNL AND UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE, Pat Warner - ALPINE RACING FORMULA 1, Ellen Lee - FORD MOTOR COMPANY

WORKSHOP #1: STANDARDIZATION IN VAT POLYMERIZATION: WHERE ARE WE NOW

Speaker: Callie Higgins - NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS AND TECHNOLOGY

PANEL DISCUSSION #2 - MOVING TOWARDS A CIRCULAR ECONOMY WITH POLYMER ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

With temperatures rising and global warming becoming an increasing concern, sustainability has become more important than ever. And polymer additive manufacturing has been on the forefront of the movement, especially when it comes to the idea of a circular economy. Defined as a model of production and consumption wherein materials and products are recycled, reuse, refurbished and repaired for as long as possible, a circular economy is one of the major recommendations for combating climate change and other environmental issues. In this panel, come listen to experts discuss how exactly it is possible to move toward a circular economy through plastic 3D printing.

Moderator: Sherri Monroe

Speakers: Dr. Phil Reeves - REEVES INSIGHT, Mazher Mohammed - LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY, Alban D'Halluin - PRODWAYS MACHINES

WORKSHOP #2: GETTING THE BEST OUT OF ENGINEERING MATERIALS

Speaker: Grant Luttinen - INTAMSYS

PANEL DISCUSSION #3 - HOW IS POLYMER 3D PRINTING BEING USED IN CONSUMER GOODS?

More and more, additive manufacturing is being used for the production of end-use goods in a variety of sectors. That includes consumer goods, where the 3D printing market size is expected to reach $12 billion by 2030. In this panel discussion, experts will cover the different trends for additive manufacturing in the sector including the products best suited for polymer 3D printing as well as how to scale-up and optimize production.

Moderator: Kristin Mulherin

Speakers: Matthew Forrester - L'ORÉAL, Brian Cotty - RPM GmbH, Tim Downing - STRATASYS

WORKSHOP #3: POST-PROCESSING PLASTIC 3D PRINTED PARTS

Speaker: Rick Neff - RICK NEFF, LLC
